Saltwater Crocodile

Characteristics

The crocodile has built-in goggles so that it can see underwater. They can range between 5 to 7 metres and they can weigh between 400 and a massive 700 kilograms. Saltwater crocodiles have salt glands which means they can travel to different seas with different salt levels and not get affected.

Diet

Fish birds and mammals almost anything that comes up to close. Smaller salt water crocodiles will eat sampler fish and insects.

Predators

Crocodiles do not have any predators besides humans, but they do have threats like Cane Toads.

Habitat

They live in tropical climates anywhere where there is water: rivers, lakes, billabongs, streams, mangroves and river banks.

Impacts

Crocodiles attack 1 to 3 people per year. Crocodiles can make fisherman angry for 2 reasons: because they eat all of the fish, because they harass all of the boats.
