Metal Weed

Characteristics

The plant is between 40 - 60 cm in size, as a full grown adult. Juveniles are usually between 30 - 40 cm in size. Males are larger than females. The plant can be distinguished by the colour on the leaves. They have purple patterns. The Metal Weed is a small bush, only about 50cm high and 60cm wide.

 

Distribution and Abundance 

The plant can be found in Asia, Africa, South America, the Caribbean and Australia. In Australia, they can be found around coastal areas in Queensland and the Northern Territory. 

 

Behaviour

The plant can be defensive against spiders.
