Rotten Cheese Fruit
Characteristics
It grows up to 9 metres tall and grows to an adult by 18 months. It is green and greyish-white and looks like a potato.
Predators
The Rotten cheese fruit (Morinda citrifolia) is an Australian plant. Its predators include fruit bats, weaver ants and fruit flies.

Distribution and Abundance
It is located in Southeast Asia and Australasia. In Australia it is located in the Northern Territory and parts of Queensland. It is also found around Darwin, Kakadu and the top end of the Northern Territory. In the Northern Territory, it is found in suburban blocks growing freely.
There is no detailed map of the abundance of this plant over the years, but since it is everywhere, it is probably becoming more abundant.
Habitat
They grow in shady forests as well as rocky shores and volcanic surfaces.
Impacts
It is a native plant and was never introduced to Australia and is naturally occurring.
